Tanaka A NDONGERA is a Social Innovator with over six years of experience who has specialized in Developmental Issues with different cultural populations domestically and internationally. Extensive experience in Youth, Peace, Security, Climate Change, Early Warning, Liberty, Human Rights, and Democracy issues, interventions, and programs. Tanaka was part of the team that participated in the process of localizing the Continental Framework on Youth Peace and Security and the development of a National Action Plan in Zimbabwe. He has been invited as a speaker at several events and also participated in the 3rd Continental Dialogue on Youth, Peace and Security in Bujumbura, Burundi, under the patronage of H.E. President Evariste Ndayishimiye, African Union (AU) Champion for Youth, Peace and Security Agenda. Additionally, he is also the Co-founder of Zimbabwe Youth Champions for Agenda 2063 (ZYCA2063). Additionally, Tanaka is the Former Regional Coordinator for Southern Africa and currently a Senior Coordinator of African Students for Liberty (ASFL), advocating and advancing for free market economies, intra-African trade, individual liberty, objectivism, and free society towards a freer future.
As an advocate, Tanaka engages with young men and women in addressing the problems they face with the new social practices that aim to meet social needs in a better way than the existing solutions. While in that regard, he plans, organize and coordinates workshops, seminars, conferences, and symposiums on leadership, development, climate, trade, peace, liberty, and entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe and Africa. He has gained greater knowledge and experience within the field of Trade, climate, peace, development, liberty, climate change, governance, and entrepreneurship.
Tanaka is an Entrepreneur, Communication and Public Relations Expert, and has been a socially engaged activist since 2017, in the promotion of inclusion of Youth in Public Governance, Trade, Sustainable Development, climate change, and Peace Building. He is a holder of Master of Science in International Relations with Midlands State University who also holds a BSC in Peace and Governance (Bindura University of Science Education); Diploma in Leadership and Development Studies (Springdale College United Kingdom (UK); Executive Certificate in programme and project Monitoring and Evaluation (University of Zimbabwe) and a Basic Solar Systems Design and Installation Certificate (Harare Institute of Technology). He is also a graduate from the Nairobi Summer School on Climate Justice (Kenyatta University).
Tanaka collectively pleads for the implementation of the African Union Agenda 2063 at local, national, regional and, the promotion of gender equality and Youth Inclusion within the implementation of African Union Agenda 2063, the inclusion of the young people at the decision-making table and their participation in political life, the promotion of pan- Africanism, the African Union’s Agenda 2063, United Nations Agenda 2030 and the African solidarity as well as the intergenerational dialogue.
