Onyango is a poet, writer, mental health advocate, gender activist and co-founder of Fatuma’s Voice Foundation. Fatuma’s Voice drives for community-based social change by encouraging creative expression and sparking conversations about social issues.
Since the organization was launched on 12 July 2013, it has hosted 142 themed community forums and hosted 1,420 artistic performers and brought together 15,000 community members.
