Edam Shem is currently the Regional Coordinator for Uganda and Sudan at Students For Liberty, Africa but has also served as the Eastern Africa Regional Coordinator for Events and the National Coordinator of Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia. He is an educator and an agent of social change in Kisumu, Kenya where he is the Founder of Tabasamu Kenya, a Community Based Organization that exists to address the neglect of senior citizens through researching and developing the first senior citizens program in Kisumu where youths can regularly volunteer to enhance the quality of lives of senior citizens in the society with the aim of strengthening and building on their capacities to enable them and the people under their care or household be able to cope with their daily life experiences. He is the current Director of Operations at Black Diamond Association and a Research and Data Analysis fellow at Tuka Institute and is yet to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Education and Human Resource Development.
